There’s nothing more quintessentially British than a cup of tea and a slice of cake. To celebrate National Tea Day (Friday 21st February) correctly, there’s no one better to turn to than Fortnum & Mason. Since their doors first opened in 1707, tea has been at its heart with exceptional classic drinks sourced from some of the very finest producers in every corner of the world. To celebrate National Tea Day here is a selection of the very best blends and tea services from Fortnum’s.
Afternoon Tea in the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon
The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, on the 4th Floor of the iconic Piccadilly store, is home to the elegant and exquisite afternoon tea that Fortnum’s is famous for. The Salon’s deeply knowledgeable ‘tearistas’ guide guests through the 50 teas served, creating them the perfect brew according to their personal taste. Complimenting this vast array of blends are finger sandwiches, buttery scones and exquisite patisserie.
The Tea Post
The newly launched Fortnum & Mason Tea Post subscription service allows tea to be delivered straight to doors worldwide. Each month, two blends – from famous favourites to new and rare discoveries – will be selected according to the season and packaged in Fortnum’s signature Eau de Nil bespoke pouches.
These subscriptions are available for three, six or twelve months at £15 per month, with each delivery containing 10-12 cups worth of loose-tea – enough to satisfy the thirstiest of tea tasters.
