If you are in the market for a seriously stylish new pair of glasses this spring, take a look at Day at the Races, the new collection from British eyewear label Cutler and Gross, which launches this month
Inspired by the highly visible graphics on racing silk jackets, the collection embraces winning block colours from Brick and Dark Mustard to Black, Nutmeg and Spearmint, as well as stripes and graphic lines reinterpreted for the new season.
The range spans styles from the quaint classic Persian Queen (above, 1216) in solid acetates to the unisex Cadore Story (below, 1223), a mix of Palladium and Ruthenium metal combined with Italian acetate and a future classic in the making.
Strong in body and soft in texture, Lady Mercer (1218) and Captain Melrose (1217) embody the equestrian world as bridges are designed to resemble a snaffle. Rims are enrobed in lambskin leather and Water Snake leather realised in black and riding colours, Spearmint, Bronze Metallic Leather and Tan Leather adding lasting luxury touches.
Day at the Races collection is available at Cutler and Gross boutiques, online, and select stockists from the beginning of March 2016.
