You don’t need to be in Rio to enjoy the buzz of the Olympics, with themed ice creams at Sexy Fish and private screenings at The Arch London
Soft serves at Sexy Fish
With the help of her team, head pastry chef at Sexy Fish has concocted some zany soft serve ice creams to celebrate the Rio Olympics. They’re available for lunch and dinner, and each flavour will be making an appearance on different days. There’s an English flavour (strawberry, topped with a mini scone, strawberry jam and a strawberry), an exotic Japanese flavour containing macha, a crowd-pleasing American and a chocolatey Brazilian flavour. And, while you’re in the mood, the bar team has created ‘The Sexy Olympian’, garnished with your very own gold medal.
Olympic art from the Carl Freedman Gallery at Rivington Shoreditch
Shoreditch restaurant Rivington has teamed up with gallerist Carl Freedman to exhibit the eight official prints for Team GB at the Olympics. The exclusive set of eight includes vibrant prints created by the likes of Tracey Emin, Eddie Peake, Anne Hardy, David Shrigley, Howard Hodgkin, Sarah Jones, Sam Taylor-Johnson and Benjamin Senior; available to purchase either as a set of eight, or individually.
Private screenings at The Arch London
Sporting fans can hire The Arch London’s Whitehall Suite or Martini Library for private screenings of the Olympics, which will be shown on a state-of-the-art 52” flat-screen LCD television or a 106” drop-down projector screen. Guest will be welcomed with a glass of wine or beer and a selection of snacks — olives, home-made crisps, mini burgers and mini fish and chips or Hunter burgers served with fries. An additional ‘half-time’ and ‘extra time’ menu will also be on-hand.
Olympic cocktails at Lancaster London
Lancaster London has devised a duo of Rio inspired cocktails worthy of a gold medal. Revel in the sporting spirit with a live screening while sipping on a Caipirinha De Uva or perhaps the Brazilian take on a British classic, a Bloody Carioca. Both cocktails are served with a traditional Brazilian nibble, Pastel e Coxinha de Frango — fresh chicken breast encased in a crispy breadcrumb shell with vegetables.
Bluebird Chelsea
Following on from Wimbledon fever at Bluebird Chelsea, sports fans can now take a front row seat to the Rio Olympics in the Courtyard, watching the action unfold on the big screen while enjoying delicious food outdoors with a glass in hand. The perfect al fresco venue to cheer on Team GB.
