Organisation is not my strongest suit now, let alone back when I was back at school. However, shopping for the coolest, quirkiest and prettiest personalised stationary is something I have always enjoyed, and strangely, a lot of my good memories from starting school revolve around stationary. Girls and boys alike were so passionate about having the most entertaining pencil toppers, the most grown-up fountain pens, and I vaguely remember a secret club forming, where you had exclusive access to the ‘best’ rubber in the class. Don’t worry – I don’t think anyone who wasn’t in this ‘club’ was ever denied the rubber, maybe being given an honouree member status, not that they cared.
My point is, for stationary geeks like me, the adoration of stationary is something that extends throughout the school years, so here’s a roundup of the very best for both younger and older students. Not only can it replace feelings of dread with excitement when hearing the phrase ‘back to school’, I actually found that new stationary used to motivate me to be more organised and eager to learn. In fact, it still does – Someone quiz me on my times tables!
The pencil case
A pencil case is like the school version of a purse or wallet so make sure it looks good whilst being able to hold all your valuables (pens, pencils, etc). Whether you choose a fun, pretty or understated one, these pencil cases are sure to do the trick!

The pen
It might not seem important to have a great pen, but somehow the way a pen writes equates to how much you want to write. A smoother flowing ink is always most coveted, and a fun design never goes unnoticed, and that’s just what you’ll find with these great pens.

The maths set
A good maths set is the basis of getting through the challenging subject, equipping any student with everything you need for working with angles, measurements and other mathematical problems. With rulers, rubbers and sharpeners also included, these sets will extend far beyond maths lessons.

The diary / notebook
Whilst school may provide school diaries or planners, they can often look quite plain and uninspiring. If permitted, trade it in for one of these diaries. Or for merely jotting down notes, this Rollo notebook, which can also be personalised, is perfect.

The schoolbag
What good is having all these new school accessories without having the perfect bag to put it all into? Rucksacks or cross-body bags are usually the most stylish and convenient. These ones will have students looking forward to the morning walk to school.

The lunchbox
Seeing as lunch was always one of the best parts of the school day (and still is), pack your sandwiches, biscuits, fruit and cake bars in something funkier than your average containers. A new water bottle never fails to add a little excitement too.
