What’s hot in the world of luxury interiors this month, from copper coffee tables to handcrafted ash benches
The last month’s Salone del Mobile in Milan saw the launch of a lot of exciting new products, including this ‘Nim’ coffee table by London-based design company studio, Pinch. The cold-cast metal Nim uses a metal coat of Jesmonite, which has very fine powdered copper suspended in the water-based building composite. The effect has the elemental quality of lava or earth strata. It’s labour-intensive work and only 50 have been made. Price £7,950 including VAT.

1882 Ltd is a design-led ceramics brand in Stoke on Trent, where the fifth generation of the Johnson Brothers have revived England’s tableware heritage with progressive design and craftsmanship. Latest pick is Max Lamb’s bone china ware, which is slip-cast from hand-carved plaster models. Large bowl, £90. Tall vase, £70.

Michael Anastassiades has been part of the British design scene for more than a decade and recently he collaborated with long-standing furniture purveyors SCP to create the Rochester sofa and ottoman. The high-sided sofa gives a feeling of security and comfort, which is reminiscent of early sofas with a modern twist. At its Norfolk workshops SCP focuses on traditional techniques. It has recently phased out the use of foam, replacing it with renewable fibres, such as wool. Rochester sofa, from £3,872. Ottoman £855.

Monique and Staffan Tollgard are interior designers with over 10 years’ experience. Their Chelsea-based design studio decorated many prestigious properties from Knightsbridge to Notting Hill where their elegant touch creates homes that are functional and beautiful.

As well as antiques, Max Rollitt produces his own range of bespoke furniture inspired by his favourite purchases over the years. His meticulous eye for design and knowledge of furniture makers gives each piece its own provenance. This ash bench is based on a late 18th century Devon bench and was handcrafted by British craftsmen. £1,300.

Just when you thought there can’t be another pet accessory here comes the ultimate one – a bespoke sculpture of your favourite hound for the garden. Or perhaps you would prefer a pack of wolves? Chelsea-trained sculptor Clare Trenchard specialises in animal sculptures by commission and works in bronze or bronze resin. ‘Standing Dog’ £3,850 in resin, £16,500 in bronze. www.claretrenchard.com
