From an exclusive private dining room at Fera to Caprice Holding’s latest venture on Kensington High Street, he are three new dining experiences to whet the appetite this month

Aulis
Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan is set to open his high-tech development kitchen and interactive private dining room within Fera at Claridge’s this month. The intimate space is made up of a six-seat kitchen counter that enables you to book individual spots or the table in its entirety to get up close and personal with chefs as they prepare multi-course dinners. This is similar to his offering at his acclaimed restaurant L’Enclume in Cartmel, Cumbria.
The menus at Aulis (£150 per person; £130 supplement for paired wines) draw inspiration from seasonal British ingredients which are delivered daily from the UK’s best suppliers and Rogan’s own farm near Cartmel. Fera’s Executive Chef Dan Cox will be overseeing the menu, with chef Alex Beard (previously at The Waterside Inn) dishing up the dinners, featuring bespoke dishes that are not available on Fera’s restaurant menu.
Named after Finnish chef and artist, Aulis Lehtimaki, who used to work alongside Simon Rogan at the two-Michelin starred L’Enclume, Aulis is open for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday.

The Ivy Kensington Brasserie
Caprice Holdings (the group that brought us some of London’s best-loved restaurants, from Le Caprice and Daphne’s to the The Ivy) will be opening Ivy Brasserie on 15 December. Set in the space previously occupied by Pavilion’s Restaurant and Bar on Kensington High Street, The Ivy Kensington Brasserie will offer an accessible, sophisticated all-day dining spot.
For the food, expect avocado and spinach Benedict and griddled buttermilk pancakes with smoked streaky bacon for breakfast and lunch and dinner dishes (and all-day menu, available from 11.30am until late) including grilled whole lobster with parsley and garlic butter and thick-cut chips; brioche crumbed chicken Milanese with fried hen’s egg and black truffle. For dessert expect their signature melting chocolate bombe with milk foam, vanilla ice cream and honeycomb centre with hot salted caramel sauce. Alongside the dining menu a specially curated cocktail list will feature 12 bespoke cocktails.
The decor is courtesy of Martin Brudnizki Design Studio with striking emerald bar, vintage-style green bar stools and leather banquettes alongside striking brass light fittings, decorative mirrors and marble flooring. As with The Ivy Kensington Brasserie’s sister sites, The Ivy Market Grill, The Ivy Chelsea Garden and the recently opened Ivy Café in Marylebone, tables will be held back for walk-ins.

Disappearing Dining Club
Disappearing Dining Club is collaborating with Spitalfields Music Winter Festival to offer a Christmas concert and dinner party in a candlelit St Leonard’s Church on December 5 2015. A three-course feast will be served up on long supper-club-style sharing tables in the galleries of this stunning space, overlooking an exclusive performance from acclaimed contemporary artists singer and songwriter Mara Carlyle and viola da gamba player Liam Byrne.
Tickets include welcome cocktail and canapés, drinks reception, concert and the three-course dinner and are priced at £75 per person with £1 from every ticket donated to Teenage Cancer Trust.
