What was the original vision behind this impressive project?
To create a luxury hideaway surrounded by nature for hardworking families living in London to escape to.
A project of this magnitude was clearly very ambitious, how long did it take?
It took ten years to get planning consent, and we are currently in the 7th year of operation.
A project of this scale is bound to present challenges, what was your biggest challenge?
Proving that we were going to do what we said we would do – and we did it!
What aspects of this project are you most pleased with?
The families who live here.
Why was it so important to get such recognisable names such as Kate Moss and Kelly Hoppen involved in the interior design for these properties?
It wasn’t a case of who they are, but more about their passion for the Lakes project.
What is the best thing about the Cotswolds?
Peace and beauty but accessible to London.
Describe your perfect day by the Lakes.
Outside, in all seasons, loving to see the kids enjoying a Swallows and Amazon way of life. Being happy that the family is safe in a beautiful setting and a chance to find time for some romance!
Who would be your perfect lakeside neighbour?
The Lakes wildlife.
What does luxury mean to you?
Understated peace.
