Whether you’re hosting a party this summer or simply want to cool off in the garden, do so with one of these delicious cocktails, from concoctions of lavender and Limoncello to elderflower and gooseberry gin
Gin and Blueberry Twist, BerryWorld
Ingredients (makes four)
1x punnet blueberries (approx. 150g)
1x tbsp caster sugar
Juice of half a small lemon
2 grinds of black pepper
120ml gin
30ml Limoncello
Ice
Soda water
Method
Put the blueberries, caster sugar and lemon in a cocktail shaker and mash with the end of a rolling pin.
Add the black pepper, gin, Limoncello and some ice and shake well.
Put a large ice cube into each glass along with three blueberries and strain the cocktail into the glass through a sieve.
Top up with soda water.

Gooseberry and Elderflower Collins, 69 Colebrooke Row
Ingredients
50ml gooseberry gin
25ml fresh lemon juice
20ml elderflower cordial
Soda water
Lemon wedge (to serve)
Method
To make gooseberry gin, add 70 gooseberries to a bottle of gin and leave to diffuse for two day. Then filter.
In a highball glass, build the gooseberry gin, lemon juice and elderflower cordial over cubed ice and gently stir.
Top up ice and add the soda water. gently stir again and garnish with a lemon slice.

Lavender Fields Forever, SkyLounge
Ingredients
40ml Beefeater gin
15ml Limoncello
40ml grapefruit juice
25ml lemon juice
20ml lavender syrup
Lavender
Method
Add the gin, Limoncello, grapefruit juice lavender syrup and lemon juice and shake.
Serve in a highball glass.
Garnish with a spring of dried lavender.

Strawberry Cobbler, STK London
Ingredients
60ml Belvedere Vodka
2x strawberries
10ml fresh simple syrup
25ml sour (mix of lemon, lime and syrup)
1x Graham Cracker
Method
Add strawberries into the mixing glass.
Muddle the strawberries and add vodka, simple syrup and sour into the mixing glass.
Add ice and shake and strain into a Graham Cracker crusted rimmed martini glass.

Virginia Woolf Cocktail, The Bloomsbury Club Bar
Ingredients
45ml No.3 Gin
20ml fresh lemon juice
15ml raspberry syrup
5ml Cocchi Americano
1x egg white
Method
Add the gin, fresh lemon juice, raspberry shrub, Cocchi Americano and the egg white and shake.
Strain into a coupe glass.
Garnish with maraschino cherry.

Blackberry Mint Mojito, BerryWorld
Ingredients (makes two)
20 blackberries
160ml water
4tsp sugar
12 whole mint leaves plus extra to serve
Juice of one lime
100ml white rum
Ice, for shaking
Soda water
Method
Put the blackberries, water, sugar, mint and lime in a cocktail shaker and mash with the end of a rolling pin.
Add the rum and some ice and shake well.
Put the extra mint leaves and some ice into a glass and sieve in the cocktail, adding a splash of soda water.
Garnish with lime wedges, mint and blackberries.
